There’s a moment every evening in a new home when the lights click on, the roofline warms up, and everything suddenly feels a little more magical. Kids race toward the windows. Parents stop in the driveway for an extra second. Grandparents stand on the porch with a smile. Those are the moments TwinkleTask was created for.

TwinkleTask began five years ago during a winter break in 2020, when founder Melody Hartwell was finishing her marketing and psychology degree at Columbia University. She was a mother of three who had rebuilt her life, returned to school, and worked her way from community college honors to an Ivy League scholarship. During finals week, she kept thinking about how much the holidays meant to her kids — and how the families she knew were overwhelmed, stressed, and climbing ladders in the cold just to make their homes feel festive.

Melody realized something simple but powerful: the people who care the most about holiday lighting aren’t the luxury homeowners with massive estates — they’re the young families in new homes, the ones creating their very first holiday traditions. The ones who pull into the driveway at dusk and want their children to feel that warm holiday glow. The ones who don’t need a “showcase house” — they just want their home to feel like Christmas.

There wasn’t a lighting company built for them.
So she built one.

TwinkleTask wasn’t created to chase the biggest houses or the flashiest displays. It was created for the families who feel the season the most — the parents settling into their first or second year of homeownership, the ones hosting grandparents for the first time, the ones with toddlers pressing their hands against the window waiting for the lights to turn on. Melody used her background in psychology and marketing to design a service built around clarity, calm, and family-centered design.

As TwinkleTask grew, Melody brought in experts who shared her values.

Faustino Delgado, our Master Electrician, brings more than three decades of experience to your home.
