November 1 — A Note From Melody
Every year as November arrives, I feel the same familiar shift — the evenings get quieter, the houses settle in, and the first warm rooflines start appearing around the neighborhood. It’s the season when families prepare their homes for gatherings, traditions, and those little moments that become lifelong memories. This is also the season when the heart behind TwinkleTask feels the clearest to me.
If you’re new here, my name is Melody. I’ve spent years helping families bring a little more light, warmth, and calm into the busiest time of the year. Some people know me from small neighborhood installations, others from word-of-mouth circles where I first began helping friends and friends-of-friends. Over time, what started quietly grew into something more steady, something more intentional — and this year, I finally gave it a name that feels true to what we do.
TwinkleTask isn’t just a business name. It’s the simplest way I’ve ever found to describe the feeling behind the work. A “task” that’s taken off your shoulders. A “twinkle” that brings a house to life. A gentle promise that the season doesn’t have to feel overwhelming to feel beautiful.
For years I tried to find a name that matched what families told me they valued most — the warmth, the ease, the sense of being cared for, the ability to come home at dusk and feel a little lighter than when they left in the morning. The name didn’t fully arrive until earlier this year, while talking with someone on our growing team about why we do things the way we do. I told them, “We don’t just install lights. We take care of the part that feels heavy, so families can focus on what feels good.” The word “task” stuck, and suddenly it all made sense.
So this season is the first time I’m sharing TwinkleTask with the wider Houston community — not because the work is new, but because the name finally fits. Our systems, our approach, our care for every home and roofline have all been shaped slowly over time. But today, they live together under one name, one rhythm, and one promise.
And most importantly, we now have the right hands and the right hearts to bring those lights to more families. The people I get to work alongside — the TwinkleTeam™ — are thoughtful, trained, and genuinely kind. They take pride in safe installations, neat cabling, accurate measurements, and roofs left exactly as they were found. Every member carries the same intention I started with: help families feel at ease, and let their homes glow with warmth.
If you’re here for the first time, welcome. I’m grateful you found us. I hope you’ll follow along this season. I’ll be sharing small stories from behind the scenes, thoughts on holiday traditions, and little ways families can make this season feel more peaceful.
And if you ever want to bring light to your home, know this — we’d be honored to take care of the task, so your family can enjoy the twinkle.
Warmly,
Melody
